Governors are delighted to have been able to appoint Mrs Jane Bryant as the new Headteacher of Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn.

Mrs Bryant is at present Executive Headteacher (i.e. in charge of more than one school) of two secondary special schools in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. She has also been head of a primary special school. She has been a Head Teacher for 15 years. She started her career as a speech therapist before moving into teaching. In both roles, she has worked with autistic children all her life.

At present, Mrs Bryant lives in Morpeth, Northumberland, so it will be a big move for her, but she will not be moving to anywhere unfamiliar. Although originally from Manchester, she spent quite a bit of time in North Wales when younger and also in her early career.
Mrs Bryant will join us from January 1st 2018.

In the meantime, we would like to thank Mrs Sharon Davies who will continue to lead the school until the end of the Autumn Term.
